6 nights / 7 days Training Camp and Sportive eventLa Marcha Cicloturista Sierras de la Alpujarra “La Indomable” is a cycle route of Great Fund that was born with the idea to show the magnificent surroundings, towns, landscapes and roads of the Alpujarras to the lovers of the Cycling. The Alpujarra is a historical region divided between the province of Granada and the province of Almeria, on the slopes of the southern slope of the Sierra Nevada.

This year, the organisers want to make the most of their special location. For this reason, they present a cycle of great background making a tour of the most important towns of the Alpujarra.

One of the official translations of La Alpujarra is “La Indomable” and hence the name of our march.

We propose two options, one of more than 190km and another of more than 140km, both with a great hardness and very demanding.

Our intention is to show you our alpujarra, roads that seem built for the practice of cycling and that are waiting for our passage. Mountain roads with harbors of more than 20km and with a route from Mediterranean Sea to the bowels of Sierra Nevada. Going through towns like Órgiva, Capileira, Pampaneira, Mecina Bombarón, Trevélez, Cadiar, Ugíjar .. but at the same time so unknown, even for the countrymen, that already at its birth is an unavoidable event for lovers of cycling.

The Cycloturist Marching of the Alpujarra “La Indomable” is a challenge of a Gran Fondo, a test of 200 km with more than 4000 meters of positive gradient.

Distance: 197.63 km.

Total Ascent: 4,058 m.

Mountain Ports: Haza del Lino (1st category), Pórtugos (2nd category), Trevélez (3rd category), Bérchules (4 category), Ugíjar (4 category).

Cyclists who enjoy this route will have the privilege of riding in one day from the Mediterranean sea level to the highest town in Spain.
